poppy seeds
Steff made a German dish
for her party yesterday... it was really good. She
said it didn't turn out well but I thought it tasted
great. The dish was like a ... cake... well, at
least, that's what Steff called it. It wasn't like a
birthday cake. Anyway... I'm not going to try to
explain it... I wouldn't explain it right and you
would all just get really confused...
Anyway! It had poppy seeds in it... actually that was
the main ingredient. It called for a massive amount
of poppy seeds. The family she was staying with told
us to be careful when we were on the road and not do
anything that would cause us to have to take a drug
test (I have no idea why he would suggest we would do
something bad!!)
So by the end of the party none of us (us as in those
who were left... Kyle, Toni, Nikki, Steff, and me)
really wanted to leave... so we all pilled into
Boehmy and we went down to wal-mart... yeah... at
10:30 (not that late but still...) sooo... we ran
around wal-mart for a while. the crazies come out
late at night (yeah... we were kind of party of the
crazies... I admit) we ran around and hid from one
another.
at one point Nikki knocked over and entire shelf of
big water bottles - and of course - the rest of us
(being the mature adults we are) starting running...
leaving pour Nikki behind among her mess of water
bottles... and then in her attempts to sneak up on us
and scare us... Nikki knocked over a rack of paper
plates... Yeah... we love her to death. fun fun
Nikki and Toni found these funny looking rackets with
suction cups all over them and just HAD to buy
them... just because... *shrug* I only claim them to
be friends... LoL... They decided to play in the
parking lot... mercy.. I don't know what time it was
by then... there was barely anyone in the parking
lot... but they played with their rackets out in the
middle of the wal-mart parking lot. at one point
Nikki had run to the other end to see how far Toni
could through it.... so Toni threw it as far as she
could and it landed in an abandoned shopping cart out
in the middle of no where (it was close to Nikki...
her aim wasn't off, just a little short. anyway... we
all got a big kick out of that (all of us being a
little loopy from the lack of sleep) ... great fun...
And yet the night still wasn't over... Toni and Nikki
spotted an attractive guy while in wal-mart and saw
him just sitting in his truck with the door open when
we were exciting the wal-mart building.... soooo...
Toni dared Nikki to ask for a cigarette ~ and Nikki
being Nikki... did it. She just walked up to him and
asked him for a cigarette. He asked if she was 18 and
she responded back with a yes immediately, but asked
him if he would not give her one if she admitted she
was only 17... he responded by handing her a
cigarette... so Nikki got a cigarette.
no one smoked it... just in case you were wondering.
Kyle got really jumpy and snappy like he does when he
trys to act "protective" ~ the guy Nikki got the
cigarette from hadn't left the parking lot and was
there talking on his cell phone pretty much the whole
time Nikki and Toni were throwing the ball around.
Kyle didn't like it... and let us all know. sometimes
he makes me smile when he is all protective... : D
He's a good bro.
The was still not over when we left wal-mart... the
parking lot even. It roughly takes me an hour to drop
everyone off at their appropriate locations and get
back to my house.... everyone lives so far apart.
woosh... we had a fun time in the car. We rolled back
the moon roof and all the windows down... and pretty
much just laughed about everything. we had a good
time.
the end of the evening was horrible though... Steff
left today. Only to wait for another three years from
now.... oooooh... I'm so sad. It ached in my heart...
her and I just stood and held each other for along
moment. It was so hard. It is still hard. I miss her
so much already... she is so dear to me. I can talk
to her about anything... It is so nice to have a
companion with the same Christian faith. I admire her
so much.
I will praise the LORD for her visit and cherish all
of our memories together. Her visit was a blessing
from God!!
I love you Steff... I'm praying for you! You are so
dear to my heart!
much love,
Kynley Michal

cut it off
I cut my hair. There you
go... I chopped off five inches of my hair. It feels
short now... lol... Imagine that! : ) It will take a
little bit of time to get used to it, but I like it.
I like how it looks. My poor ends were so scraggly
and yucky (yes.. I definitely sound my age) that they
just had to go... soo... mom and I thought 'hey, why
not just cut it a little bit more.' So... there goes
five inches. No sweat. It was very spur of the
moment... I was styling my hair and was staring at my
ends in despair... so i went and grabbed mom asked
her what she thought... 'yeah, you hair does look
scraggly at the end' so... I said... "cut it off...
right now before we head off to church.'
so we cut it off. it's still 'long' don't worry...
just five inches shorter now. plus, it looks much
better. although when I look at in the mirror it
looks a lot shorter.
I like it. I think I might try to keep it at this
length for a while.
much love,
Kynley Michal

... not since when?
ahh... here I am. . .
roughly a month into summer vacation. and... I
haven't really posted much. I'm sorry. I haven't
thought it really ~ I don't have an excuse... I just
kept forgetting to post.
I've been strangely busy... and yet not really
busy... hmm... yeah.
I've had friends out to visit... and I've redone my
room (preparing for September). Keyra has moved into
my room - it's been interesting. LoL.. she has
discovered all the little items I have in my room and
decided they were great toys... items like my (tiny)
collection of coins from other countries, my
collection of sea shells, my pens and pencils... oh
and the best one - my thumbtacks and safety pins.
WONDERFUL.
Now... don't get me wrong. I love the goobers out of
my little sister... isn't that like a sign of
affection? to be frustrated with someone (and still
love them in the end - that's an important factor).
hmmm... i think so. : )
Christopher flew out for a weekend. It was very nice
to see him after a long time. honest to goodness -
awkward in every meaning of the word. but I didn't
expect it to be any different. I'm not sure how it
could have not been awkward... especially after what
all that has happened these past couple years. It was
very nice to see him though. I have missed talking to
him.
Steff flew in from Germany. She has been here two
weeks... almost three weeks now and we have done all
sorts of fun things together. Yesterday we went to
the drive in to see some kid movies!! : ) how fun. We
met up with Nikki and had a blast.
I'm horribly glad that Steff is here for a visit. I
have missed her terribly. She has been a confidant
for me and I truly cherish her friendship. oooh... I
shall be so sad when she leaves for Germany. : (
much love,
Kynley Michal
What good will it be for a man if he gains the whole
world, yet forfeits his soul? Or what can a man give
in exchange for his soul?
