written out instructions
so my mother told me the
other day that I needed to update my blog.
so did I? nope.
Instead put it off even longer. but here I am so it's
all wonderful right?
Well, I had a wonderful weekend. Tennis is starting
up in about a month (give or take) and we (as in us
senior tennis players) decided we wanted to raise
some money to help pay for new uniforms. Sweet no?
Yeah... anyway... so one of my dearest friends is a
rather good cook and her mother is absolutely
fabulous. Soooo... we decided to have a bake sale!!
sweet... good thing she can cook because all Kynley
can do is follow the directions and stir when someone
tells her to stir and add eggs when someone tells her
to add eggs. I can't really cook by myself at least
unless I have well written instructions... like -turn
the nobby thing (the one that has the big numbers on
it) on the oven to 345 degrees... etc.
We asked all the girls planning to play tennis to
pitch in a help us bake some sweet treats. banana
bread, cookies, muffins, candy, toffee... the like,
you know. So I arrived at Clairien's house (the good
cook) at around... uh... 6ish... (I think). Anyway,
they had a lot done by the time I got there and they
were eating pizza (homemade, can you believe it?) So
i helped eat the pizza and package everything that
was done into adorable little heart covered bags. We
made this fabulous hard candy that I thought was
absolutely fabulous... just strawberry candy covered
in powdered sugar... mmm-mmmh...
Then we discovered that the banana bread made by the
group of freshman girls tasted absolutely horrible...
bleck... they had put in a tablespoon
of baking
soda and tablespoon
of salt into
the batch instead of a TEASPOON of baking soda and a
TEASPOON of salt. sick sick... so Clairien gave be
the recipe and I made two batches of banana bread
(and I accidently broke the measuring cup... how? I
have no idea. I was just drying it out and snap!
there goes the handle... I felt so bad I almost
cried). The banana bread was really good. I brought
home a loaf for mom and dad and they said it was
really good... I know how to make banana bread guys!!
(if I have a instruction sheet with me)
*chuckle* then my dear friend Toni showed up and
everything feel apart from there. at one point we
were all laying on the couch (five of us... the rest
had gone home) waiting for the stuff to finish baking
so we decided to take pictures... LoL... I MUST post
those pictures as soon as I can get my hand on them.
They are on Toni's camera... it wasn't a very big
couch so everyone is losing the circulation in part
of our body because we are all so squished together..
did we care? no... we were laughing so hard that we
couldn't breath and we were taking the funniest
pictures in the world. At one point Toni decided she
was going to take pictures with the camera upside
down... LoL...
hehehe... my friend Liz does not like to be hugged a
lot so I grabbed her around the waist in a funky hug
(I'm short okay!) and I picked my feet off the
ground... and what happened? she fell down.. I hit my
nose really hard... she fell down on top of me and I
hurt my side... lol... She was crying over the chips
she had broken... I was holding my sore nose and we
were all laughing so hard none of us could breath...
I had tears streaming down my face... LoL..
Then we shoved Toni inside one of the empty cabinets
(which smelled like brown sugar and flour she said)
and wouldn't let her get out until she let us take
her picture. funny? yes... lol... we are all crazy
goof balls.
hehehe... I didn't leave her house until like twelve
at night... I was so tired. : )
Much love,
Kynley
p.s. we sold everything we made today (we did pretty
well we thought... we are doing it again in two
weeks) then we went to the basketball games and both
our varsity teams won... woohoo!! : )
Let
everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise
the LORD.
Psalm 150:6
when the dragon lady says study... you study
sooo... I feel justified
when I say that I just took the hardest high school
final known to man. I've been studying for roughly
two weeks... but this past week almost all I did was
study... (and post one entry)... : ) Anyway... let's
describe this final shall we?
Okay... first off 25 matching... no complaints
there...
25 true or false... no complaints there...
10 thesis analysis... again no complaints...
40 fill in the blanks... uh, complaint! She took
sentences out of the textbook (10 chapters... 300
some pages)... took out some of the words from those
sentences and made us fill in the blank... No Key.
Most (okay all) of the sentences had at least three
words missing... problem? I think so...
BUT it doesn't end there... she also had an essay
question for a 3 page essay (I'm not complaining
about length.. it was handwritten and on only one
side of the paper)... she was going to grade for
grammar and we could use no passive.
I think a part of me died in that classroom. It took
me almost three hours.... stupid thing.. I'm still
queasy and shaky from the stupid thing...
At least it's over and I can recover... OH... I have
a three day weekend. Thank the heavens!! He was
definitely looking out for us when He gave us a
longer weekend. . . the only problem is I don't know
what to do with myself anymore. I've been studying
for the silly thing for almost two weeks and now... I
don't know what to do... hmm... so I decided to
post... so ... yeah : )
... but I can't blog forever... you guys would get so
bored after a while... start thinking I'm a crazy
rambler with no life. ... yeah... anyway. LoL
I'm going to call it a day... I love you all!!
Much love,
Kynley Michal
Blessed
are they whose ways are blameless, who walk according
to the law of the LORD. Blessed are they who keep his
statutes and seek him with all their heart.
Psalm 119:1-2
they're like therapy
I believe I made the best
decision last year when I was signing up for classes.
I love little kids so much. (I just cannot
handle freaky
parents and
all that politics that goes on with teaching.) I go
to the elementary school for the last period of my
school day. I work in a third grade classroom... It's
so much fun. The little kids adore you and they find
it so fun to tease you in such silly ways... like
today a couple of the boys thought it was funny to
call me Grandma. LoL... I wish high school boys
teased like that... it would be so much easier to
handle (not that I get teased a lot... just a broad,
general statement).
Lately I've been testing the kids on their
phonetics... so I'm going to two other classrooms to
test all of those kids. Some of the kids are so cute.
I get all sorts of silly questions... like do I have
kids... or am I married... or am I really old...
LoL... some of the kids see me when I go get my baby
brother from Kindergarten so they think he is my son.
And since I wear my purity ring on my ring finger
(and since it looks kind of like an engagement ring)
they assume I'm married. I also get questions like...
why am I not in school... or am I in college. : )
They once even asked me if I was the teacher's
daughter. They are just so cute.
They are my therapy... They make everything happy
after a really hard day. The teacher I usually work
with is absolutely fabulous too. She is so fun. One
time we were helping kids write funny poems, and we
noticed that some of the boys were laughing about
stupid words like poop
or
toilet.
So the teacher got this real sly look on her face and
turned to me. "Watch, you can get kids to laugh in
such silly ways." So she got the kid's attention and
just said "Underware." That was it... The kids just
stared at her in complete shock for a moment before
bursting up into hysterical laughter. It was so
funny. (she doesn't do stuff like that very often...
so it was so completely unexpected... LoL)
hehe... ahh... the innocence of children. Don't you
miss it sometimes?
*chuckle* I pray you all have a fun little outlet
that you adore... and that is like therapy for you.
much love,
Kynley Michal
Whoever
has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who
loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father,
and I too will love him and show myself to him.
John 14:21
in loco parentis
means "in the place of a
parent" (it's Latin). I'm not calling my parents
'loco.' My parents flew out this morning for San
Francisco at five. So my grandparents are here
in loco
parentis. (it was one of my vocab
words from College Comp)
So it'll be an interesting week, not bad or anything,
just interesting. It's always interesting to try to
mix my grandparent's general routine with our general
routine. For example, they eat a lot earlier then we
do on a general basis. So I always wake up really,
really hungry... but then they also make huge
breakfasts that my poor body isn't used to. LoL... so
I'm don't get hungry by the time lunch time roles
around.... so it throws my whole routine off. It's
fun to laugh about it. My body is used to eating a
very light breakfast(because I rarely have much time
in the morning), eating a light lunch (because school
food is sick), having little snacks when I get home
from school, then eating a substantial dinner (around
6 or 7 ish). Then when my grandparents are here we
eat big breakfasts, not being very hungry at all
during lunch, have a substantial dinner at around
5... then waking up very hungry. : )
but it's all good...
this week is final exam week at school. woohoo... how
exciting. I only have two finals to take. but they
are both very scary finals. : ( Pre-Calc shouldn't be
to bad... but you know... still a little
intimidating. On the other hand... College Comp....
scary? yes. life-threatening? yes. study my brains
out? yes. I think I'm going to be sick. The teacher
is very honest with us. Generally she says, "oh, this
test isn't to bad. don't worry to much." but then...
it's turns out to be a yucky test. on this test she
honest with us.. "Everyone, this is a very very
difficult test. Study for it." oh gosh... if we all
think that the tests she doesn't think are to bad are
bad... then what are we going to do about a test that
she thinks is really difficult?! Goodness...
goodness... *sob* excuse me while I break down...
lol... prayers anyone? : ) I would so appreciate it
sooo much. ; )
want to hear... see.. some more fun, vocab words?

bleck
sooo... school starts
tomorrow... I cleaned my room all day today.... and
yeah... I'm glad my room is clean. It smells really
good to. I got this sweet spray stuff for your house
at Bath & Body Works... its the Pink Grapefruit
scent (which is almost my all time favorite). If you
could smell my room right now you would agree that it
does smell good. Its not really strong... just nice
and fresh and... yeah. LoL
Bath & Body Works is coming out with this new
scent called Midnight Pomegranate. Holy Mercy... it
smells good. They were selling sample bottle for $1
so I got one... It comes out "officially" on January
22. : ) Sweet.
I'm sorry this post is short.. but I have to head to
bed. Remember.. I have school tomorrow. *sigh* Oh...
and I forgot to mention.. I got all teary eyed and
upset when mom told me I had to take down the
Christmas tree.. then she told me to just get it down
and over with... : ( I'm horribly sad.
Oh... and I posted a couple pictures from Winter
Camp.
Much love,
Kynley Michal
God bless through this next year!!
Whatever
you have learned or received or heard from me, or
seen in me -- put it into practice. And the God of
peace will be with you.

Happy New Year!!
Happy
New Year!!
My family drove down to
town to be with my grandparents and aunt & uncles
for New Years Eve. We played Cranium (which was a lot
of fun) the guys kept beating us. : ( Oh well...
oh... and we were going to watch Chris Daughtry BUT
my aunts found this movie about Queen Esther... in
was kind of good, but they funiggled so much stuff
that it was kind of confusing... and the story of
Esther didn't seem like it should be to confusing.
Anyway, I have to help mom take down the Christmas
lights... I'm pushing it off because I despise taking
down the Christmas decoration... : ( I think I may
start crying!! Not to mention I have to go back to
school tomorrow... BLECK... it's horrible.
Much love,
Kynley Michal
